Lady Jane Feedback
Feedback from growing season 2021 is that Lady Jane is of added value to the French fry segment.
Next to the gross yield of Lady Jane, which is equal to that of standard varieties, its marketable yield is higher due to the lower number of growth cracks and hollow hearts.
Processing factories continue to like this variety especially for its frying colour, texture, high dry matter and length.
Late blight resistance has been proven to be important this year. Lady Jane’s late blight resistance provides more flexibility than non-resistant varieties.
